Have you ever talked someone who, in fact has died ?

Mr.Ronald was nearly ninty, so it was often difficult for him to remember things . but he still liked traveling very much, so he and his wife went to Spain every year.
One summer when they were there, they went to visit a friend. Mr.Alacanta, he had two young daughters Angelita and Angelina. One afternoon after lunch Mr. Ronald was taking to one of them in the garden. He asked if ANgelita and her sister had been ill when he and his wife had been there last year. Angelita said they had been very ill. Mr.Ronald said nothing for a few minutes, because he was thinking. Then at last he said he remembered one of them had died. He asked which one died, angelita or her sister. Angelita answered it was her.
He said he was very sorry to hear that.
Mr. Ronald did not realize that he had just talked a ghost. Poor man!

Filling out forms can be tricky job for some people.

At the doctor’s office where I worked, every patient had to fill out a form. In the form there was a section for health complaints. Patients filled this section with information such as “headache with temperature “ or cannot sleep wellat night and so on.
When I checked a patien’s form that day, I noticed that a woman mrote “none”, under the healt complaints section.

So. I asked about that. And do you know what she said? The patient replied,” I have been here only five minutes, so far everything is just fine”

I had never heard such an answer before.

What do you think if your neighbour hit his drum everyday ?

It was Jimmy’s birthday and he was five years old. He got quite a lot of nice birthday presents from his family and one of them was a beautiful big drum.

“Who gave him that thing?” jimmy’s father said when he saw it.

“His grandfather did, “ answered Jimmy’s mother.
“ Oh, “said his father.

Of course Jimmy liked his drum very much. He made terrible noises with it, but his mother did not mind. His father was working during the day and Jimmy was in bed when he got home in the evening, so he did not hear the noise.

But one of the neighbours did not like the noise at all, so one morning a few days later, she took a sharp knife and went to Jimmy’ house while he was hitting his drum. She said to him “ Hello Jimmy, do you know, there is something very nice inside your drum. Here is a knife. Open the drum and let’s find it”

Jimmy did as told and the neighbour never heard the drum again.

Anecdote Text : “Snake in the Bathroom”

How would you like to find a snake in you bath?
We had just moved into a new house, which had been empty for so long that everything was in a terrible mess. Dinna and I decided that we would clean the bath first, so we set to, and turned on the tap.
Suddenly to my horror, a snake's head appeared in the plug hole. Then out slithered the rest of his long thin body. He twisted and turned on the slippery bottom of the bath, spitting and hissing at us.
For an instant I stood there quite paralyzed. Then I yelled for my husband, who luckily came running and killed the snake with the handle of a broom.Dinna, who was only three at the time, was quite interested in the whole business. Indeed I had to pull her out of the way or she'd probably have lean over the bath to get a better look.
We found out later that it was a black mamba, a poisonous kind of snake. It had obviously been fast asleep, curled up at the bottom of the nice warm water-pipe. It must have had an awful shock when the cold water came trickling down! But nothing to the shock I got! Ever since then I've always put the plug in firmly before running the bath water

In 1879, William Procter and James Gamble's best seller was candles. They had begun business together in Cincinnati. While they were in peak of popularity, the candle company was in trouble as Thomas Edison had invented the light bulb. It looked as if their candle product would become obsolete. People would like to use light bulb and would not use candle anymore. The fears became reality when the market for candles plummeted since the candle product were now sold only for special occasions. The outlook of candle company appeared to be bleak and depressing for Procter and Gamble. The situation was more miserable. Several months later the accident occurred. Without thinking one of the employee left to go to lunch and forgot to turn off the machine. Since the machinery was left in operation, air would work its way into the mixture. However after discussing with his supervisor, the employee decided not to discard the mixture. Instead, he poured the mixture into frames and the soap hardened. Thus, the floating soap was born. Harley Procter decided to give the soap a name that people could remember. Then the soap was named IVORY. This ivory soap became the mainstay of the Procter and Gamble Company.

Amazingly, Procter and Gamble began to receive letters from buyers of this "accidental" soap. They wanted more of the soap that floats. Ivory soap was introduced to the marketplace. Even though this interesting formula was one of their best products, they were perplexed as to how this happened. The mysterious formula for the floating soap was resolved when the lunchtime accident was revealed.

Anecdote Text : The Latest Fashion

I am an English teacher. Guess what happened to me when I started my new English group some weeks ago!
One day, I had to teach a new English group. I read the list of new student' s name. It was kiddies' group since they are about 9 and 10 years old. I wondered why the list was handwritten, but I did not pay much attention.
I wanted to wear the most appropriate suit for the class. It was the first day of Spanish Carnival. Most kids usually dress up at the carnival I thought. It would be more interesting if their teacher was also in carnival spirit. That's why I decided to use my teddy bear suit and bring cuddly toys in my box.
And that's what I did. I walked through the door happily. The Director watched me completely astonished. I smiled and looked straight at her. With a man beside her, she said "Good afternoon.I'd like to introduce you to Mr.Mendez, the Director of Delta Company. He is one of the participants of the English course which you will teach today"
Oh...my God I nearly died ! luckily, Mr.Mendez had an excellent sense of humor. He started  to giggle. The secretary apologized to e for the wrong details of my new class.
Be careful! You never know what could await you in your next English class!.
